Ian Partridge (Tenor)
Ian Partridge has an international reputation as a concert singer and recitalist. His distinctive tenor voice and his sensitivity to words have earned him a devoted following. His repertoire encompassed all music from Elizabethan lute songs to first performances of new works.
Ian has given over 400 recitals and has taken masterclasses at venues such as Aldeburgh, Dartington, Trondheim, Versailles and Helsinki. He retired from public performance in 2008 but remained a professor at the Royal Academy of Music until 2018. He was awarded the CBE in 1992 for services to music.
