Jeremy started learning the violin at the age of five. He was awarded a place at the Royal College of Music Junior Department where he received the Constance Farrington prize and went on to study at the Royal College of Music with Professor Rodney Friend winning the Helen Just and Susan Connell prize.

Jeremy is a member of the Tippett Quartet and enjoys all the exciting projects and high-profile performances, broadcasts and recordings. He has also been a guest with Ensemble 360 and the ECO Chamber Ensemble.

He was the leader for the Hallé Orchestra’s Production of Leonard Bernstein’s Wonderful Town and was a featured soloist in Howard Goodall’s BBC Two documentary of the “Story of Music”. He was also the leader for the National Theatre production of Alan Bennett’s play “Untold Stories” with music by George Fenton at the Duchess Theatre.

Jeremy has been guest principal with the English Chamber Orchestra, English National Opera, City of London Sinfonia, English Sinfonia and City of London Philharmonic and plays with the Sinfonia of London, BBC Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra and London Mozart Players.

Jeremy records many film, TV and pop soundtracks with the major studio orchestras and is also an orchestra leader in the West End. He has performed live with Barbra Streisand, Monty Python and Katie Melua.

Jeremy taught at the Royal College of Music, London for 10 years before taking on the role of Head of Chamber Music at Junior Academy, Royal Academy of Music for a further 8 years, setting up the annual Chamber Music Festival and ensuring that chamber music was accessible to the highest level for everyone. He is now in demand as a chamber specialist giving classes at RCMJD, Royal Holloway University, Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, Imperial College, London and DaCamera, USA alongside creating the education and outreach projects for TQ.

He plays a Giuseppe Gagliano violin made in 1785.
