Derek Saunders (b. 1966) is a music teacher at the London Oratory School and is also director of music at St Mary with St Alban Church in Teddington. With both roles he plays an active part in directing choral performances, having recently conducted Mozart’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah and regular services and concerts in the Teddington area. He has composed a number of pieces for his church position and enjoys being both reflective and creative within the Christian tradition.
