Peter Blumson

Peter Blumsom (1942—2026), known professionally as Pete Dello, was an English singer-songwriter who was popular during the 1960s and 1970s, most notably as lead singer of the band Honeybus. During the 1950s, he and other members of the “59 Club” run by the Rev John Oates (later Canon of St Bride’s Fleet Street) taught themselves to play the new American skiffle guitar style. Peter later embraced rock ‘n’ roll, pop, choral and classical traditions and continued to write and perform into his sixties and beyond. He was a music teacher for most of his professional career and both a student and teacher of Platonic philosophy for the remainder of his life.
