There’s a huge amount of joy in these fragrant and lively chamber works by the British composer. You get the feeling Osgood is having the time of his life, his penchant for infectious, quasi-Latin rhythm leaping and bounding off of the Tippetts’ strings and Lynn Arnold’s keys in the 2013 Piano Trio. The opening A minor String Quartet is so lyrical there must surely be words to go with it. Wonderful.
